Reglamento 8928

This document, identified as No. 8928 and approved on November 16, 2016, by the Department of State, concerns updates to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for signage. Originally published in the Federal Register on June 13, 2013, this direct final rule updates general industry and construction signage regulations. OSHA is incorporating references to the latest American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards: Z535.1-2006(R2011), Z535.2-2011, and Z535.5-2011. Employers retain the flexibility to comply with either these updated standards or the previously referenced ANSI Z53.1-1967, Z35.1-1968, and Z35.2-1968 standards. Furthermore, the rule integrates Part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), 1988 Edition, Revision 3, into construction standards, correcting an earlier omission, and amends specific citations for accuracy. A notice of proposed rulemaking is also being issued concurrently.
