Resumen
Esta ley enmienda la Ley Núm. 43 de 2005 para redistribuir la suma de $28,750,000 asignada para obras públicas en los municipios de Toa Baja y Manatí, incluyendo ahora al municipio de Barceloneta. Los fondos se destinarán a proyectos específicos como la construcción del techo del Coliseo Municipal de Manatí, canalización y expropiaciones en Barceloneta, canalización de aguas pluviales en Manatí, dragado en Caño Tiburones y canalización del Río La Plata en Toa Baja.

AN ACT
To amend Section 14 of Act No. 43 of 2005, in order to establish a new distribution of the sum of twenty-eight million seven hundred and fifty (28,750,000) dollars for works in the municipalities of Toa Baja, Barceloneta and Manatí; and for other purposes.
STATEMENT OF MOTIVES
Through Act No. 43 of 2005, a Bond Issue of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico was authorized to cover the costs of public improvements necessary in the municipalities of Puerto Rico. Through this Act a distribution of funds was made and through its Section 14, the municipalities of Manatí and Toa Baja were appropriated the sum of twenty-eight million seven hundred and fifty (28,750,000) dollars. This bill has the purpose to redistribute said funds without affecting the amount of funds appropriated to the Municipality of Toa Baja.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO:
Section 1.- Section 14 of Act No. 43 of 2005, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 14.- From the proceeds of the sale of the bonds issued under the provisions of this Act, the sum of twenty eight million seven hundred and fifty thousand (28,750,000) dollars, which this year shall not be deposited into the Special Maintenance Fund created by Act No. 66 of August 14, 1991, as amended, remains under
the custody of the Office of Management and Budget, and it is provided that from these resources, six million (6,000,000) dollars shall be used for the construction of the roof of the Manatí Municipal Coliseum; nine million (9,000,000) dollars shall be used for the channeling, expropriation and other works in Cachete Sector of the Municipality of Barceloneta; one million (1,000,000) dollars for the channeling of rain water in Boquillas Sector of the Municipality of Manatí; one million three hundred seventy-five (1,375,000) dollars for the dredging and other improvements in Caño Tiburones and the remainder of eleven million three hundred seventy-five (11,375,000) dollars shall be used for the channeling of La Plata River in Toa Baja."
Section 2.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.

AN ACT to amend Section 14 of Act No. 43 of 2005, in order to establish a new distribution of the sum of twenty-eight million seven hundred and fifty (28,750,000) dollars for works in the municipalities of Toa Baja, Barceloneta and Manatí; and for other purposes, has been translated from Spanish to English and that the English version is correct.
