Resumen
Esta ley enmienda la Sección 3 de la Ley Núm. 88 de 26 de agosto de 2005 para corregir técnicamente la identificación de la Orden Ejecutiva que creó la Comisión Interagencial de Política Pública Integral sobre Violencia Doméstica. La ley eleva esta comisión al rango de ley y especifica las agencias que la componen, incluyendo la Oficina de la Procuradora de las Mujeres como presidenta.

AN ACT
To amend Section 3 of Act No. 88 of August 26, 2005, which requires the promulgation and implementation of a Protocol of Intervention with Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence, in order to make a technical correction.
STATEMENT OF MOTIVES
On August 25, 2005, the Governor of Puerto Rico promulgated Act No. 88, which required the promulgation and implementation of a Protocol of Intervention with Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence. This Act, in turn, requires that this Protocol be fully implemented by the agencies of the Executive Branch that intervene with the victims and survivors of domestic violence.
On the other hand, Act No. 88 of August 26, 2005, provides that the Office of Women's Advocate has the power and legal responsibility to oversee the faithful compliance with this Protocol. To achieve this goal, an Executive Order promulgated by the previous Governor of Puerto Rico was raised to the rank of law. However, said Executive Order was inadvertently erroneously identified. It is proper that this Legislature of Puerto Rico correctly identify the Executive Order that created the Interagency Integral Public Policy Commission on Domestic Violence, so that the Office of Women's Advocate may comply with this new statutory responsibility.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO:
Section 1.- Section 3 of Act No. 88 of August 26, 2005, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 3.-The Interagency Integral Public Policy Commission on Domestic Violence, created pursuant to EO 2003-40 is hereby raised to the rank of Law, which shall be constituted by the following agencies: the Office of the Women's Advocate, whose Advocate shall at the same time be the Chairperson of the Commission; the Department of Justice; the Puerto Rico Police; the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation; the Department of the Family; the Department of Education; the Department of Health; The Department of Housing; the Office of Special Communities; the Puerto Rico Corporation for Public Broadcasting; and those advisors and representatives of the public interest that the Chairperson of the Commission may deem pertinent."
Section 2.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.

AN ACT to amend Section 3 of Act No. 88 of August 26, 2005, which requires the promulgation and implementation of a Protocol of Intervention with Victims/Survivors of Domestic Violence, in order to make a technical correction, has been translated from Spanish to English and that the English version is correct.
