Esta ley enmienda la Ley Núm. 96 de 7 de agosto de 2001 para corregir un error de numeración, reordenando las secciones para asegurar la correcta referencia y aplicación de sus disposiciones.

AN ACT
To amend Act No. 96 of August 7, 2001, in order to correct the repetition of Section 6 by renumbering the second instance of "Section 6" as Section 7 and renumbering Sections 7 through 10, inclusive, as approved, as Sections 8 through 11, respectively.
STATEMENT OF MOTIVES
Act No. 96 of August 7, 2001 was approved to incorporate a extensive series of amendments to Act No. 45 of February 25, 1998, better known as the "Public Service Labor Relations Act."
Apparently, due to the number and extent of the amendments, during the approval process of Act No. 96, supra, the fact that the text contained two consecutive Sections that were both numbered as "Section 6" was overlooked.
Although the text of the law is clear in its intent, and the application thereof has been enforced in accordance with the correct interpretation of the legislative intent, it is prudent to correct this type of omission in the drafting of the laws in effect in our legal system so that its provisions may be properly ordered and no difficulties arise in references or quotations thereof.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO:
Section 1.- The second instance of "Section 6" in Act No. 96 of August 7, 2001, is hereby renumbered as a new Section 7, to read as follows:
Section 7.- Sections 14.1 and 14.2 of Section 14 of Act No. 45 of February 25, 1998, are hereby amended to read as follows : "Section 14.1 ... . . . Section 14.2 ... . . ." Section 2.- Former Sections 7 through 10 of Act No. 96 of August 7, 2001, as approved, are hereby renumbered as Sections 8 through 11, respectively.
Section 3.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.

I hereby certify to the Secretary of State that the following Act No. 173 (H.B. 2228) of the $4^{ ext {th }}$ Session of the $15^{ ext {th }}$ Legislature of Puerto Rico:
AN ACT to amend Act No. 96 of August 7, 2001, in order to correct the repetition of Section 6 by renumbering the second instance of "Section 6" as Section 7 and renumbering Sections 7 through 10, inclusive, as approved, as Sections 8 through 11, respectively, has been translated from Spanish to English and that the English version is correct.
