Esta ley ordena al Comité Designador de Edificios y Carreteras Públicas de Puerto Rico nombrar la Carretera Estatal Núm. 851 del Barrio La Gloria en el Municipio de Trujillo Alto con el nombre de Reverendo Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno, en reconocimiento a su labor religiosa y social en la comunidad.

To order the Buildings and Public Roads Designating Committee of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to name State Highway No. 851 of Barrio La Gloria in the Trujillo Alto Municipality, with the name of Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno.
An esteemed favorite son and distinguished citizen of Trujillo Alto, the late Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno, offered his irreproachable services as co-Pastor, Pastor, Exhorting and Licensed Minister and became Ordained Minister, the most elevated rank granted by the Church of God Mission Board. He was a humble man, unassuming and of an immense humanitarian quality, and earned the love and respect of the Trujillo Alto citizenry thirsting for spirituality.
Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno was born on June 3, 1926, in Barrio La Gloria of Trujillo Alto. His parents were Mr. Epifanio Ocasio and Mrs. Petrona Adorno, being the twelfth child in an extended family.
In 1946, when he was twenty (20) years old, he embraced the Christian faith. That same year he was appointed Co-Pastor of the Church of God in his native city, which is now one of the largest in the region. In 1948 he married Iraida Torres, with whom he had three (3) children: Jesús, Sara and Daniel. For over forty (40) years, the Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno developed a fruitful ministerial activity in several communities of the Trujillo Alto Municipality, and under his ministry two (2) chapels were built
in different sectors of Quebrada Negrito. In August 1986, the temple of the Church of God Mission Board was inaugurated in Barrio La Gloria under his leadership, and he died on October 4, 1995.
All Trujillo residents who knew Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno remember the acts of faith that he performed. Many are witness to the social and spiritual work that his championing the service of God undertook and, consequently, his service to humans. Today, he continues to be remembered for his ethical and moral values, which made him a figure to be imitated by all those who knew him and by those who did not have such opportunity, but who know of his work habits and the enterprising will of the late Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno.
For his work and service as a religious leader in all Trujillo Alto, work which transcended the spiritual sphere, greatly helping a whole community, exerting his effort in a selfless manner, we hereby request that State Highway No. 851 of Barrio La Gloria be named after Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno.
Section 1.- To order the Buildings and Public Roads Designating Committee of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to name State Highway No. 851 of Barrio La Gloria, in the Trujillo Alto Municipality, after Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno.
Section 2.- The Buildings and Public Roads Designating Committee of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, jointly with the Department of Transportation and Public Works, shall hereby take the necessary steps for the corresponding signalization and implementation the provisions of this Act.
Section 3.- This Act take effect immediately after its approval.
I hereby certify to the Secretary of State that the following Act No. 248 (H.B. 1653) of the $4^{ ext {th }}$ Session of the $14^{ ext {th }}$ Legislature of Puerto Rico:
AN ACT to order the Buildings and Public Roads Designating Committee of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico to name State Highway No. 851 of Barrio La Gloria, in the Trujillo Alto Municipality, with the name of Reverend Erasmo Ocasio-Adorno, has been translated from Spanish to English and that the English version is correct.
