Resumen

Esta ley enmienda el Artículo 14 de la Ley Núm. 96 de 4 de junio de 1983. Su propósito es autorizar a la Junta Examinadora de Psicólogos a conceder licencias para practicar la profesión sin necesidad de examen a aquellos aspirantes que sean residentes bona fide de Puerto Rico y que cumplan con ciertos requisitos académicos (grado doctoral o maestría en Psicología, o 30 o más créditos graduados) y de práctica profesional para fechas específicas.

L E Y

Para enmendar el Artículo 14 de la Ley Núm. 96 de 4 de junio de 1983 a los fines de autorizar a la Junta Examinadora de Psicólogos a que conceda licencia sin exámenes a psicólogos con 30 ó más créditos graduados en Psicologia.

Decrétase por la Asamblea Legislativa de Puerto Rico:

Artículo 1.- Se enmienda el Artículo 14 de la Ley Núm. 96 de 4 de junio de 1983 para que se lea como sigue: "Artículo 14.-Concesión de Licencia sin Examen.- a) La Junta concederá una licencia sin examen a todo aspirante que sea residente bona fide del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico, que posea un grado doctoral ouna maestria en Psicologia de una Universidad, Colegio o Centro de Estudios Acreditado, según se define este término en el inciso

(b) del Artículo 2 de esta ley y que esté practicando como tal a la fecha de aprobación de la misma.

Las personas interesadas deberán radicar su solicitud ante la Junta, dentro de un periodo de seis (6) meses contados a partir de la fecha en que la Junta sea nombrada por el Gobernador de Puerto Rico y entre en funciones. b) La Junta concederá una licencia sin examen a todo aspirante, residente bona fide del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico, que al momento de aprobarse esta ley ejercia como psicólogo con treinta (30) ó más créditos graduados en Psicologia de una Universidad, Colegio o Centro de Estudios Acreditado según se define este término en el inciso

(b) del Articulo 2 de esta ley. c) La Junta concederá una Licencia sin examen a todo aspirante que sea residente bonafide del Estado Libre Asociado de Puerto Rico y que a la fecha del 28 de febrero de 1985 posea un grado doctoral o una maestria en psicologia de una Universidad, Colegio o Centro de Estudios acreditados, según se define ese término en el inciso

(b) del Artículo 2 de esta ley, y que esté practicando como psicólogo a esa fecha.

Las personas interesadas en acogerse a lo dispuesto en los incisos b) y c) anteriores deberán radicar su solicitud ante la Junta dentro de un periodo de seis (6) meses contados a partir de la fecha en que se apruebe esta enmienda.

Artículo 2.- Esta Ley empezará a regir inmediatamente después de su aprobación.

B. 348) of the 1st Session of the 10th Legislature of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, entitled: AN ACT to amend Section 14 of Act No. 96 of June 4, 1983, to authorize the Psychologists Examining Board to grant licenses without examinations to Psychologists with 30 or more graduate courses in Psychology, and finds the same are complete, true and correct versions of each other.

b) The Board shall grant a license without an examination to any applicant who is a bonafide resident of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, who at the moment this Act is approved was practicing the profession as Psychologist, with thirty (30) or more graduate credits in Psychology from an Accredited University, College or Study Center as defined in subsection

(b) of Section 2 of this Act. c) The Board shall grant a License without examination to any applicant who is a bonafide resident of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and who, as of February 28, 1985, holds a Doctors' or Masters' degree in Psychology from an accredited University, College or Study Center as the term is defined in subsection

(b) of Section 2 of this Act, and who is a practicing Psychologist on that date.

The persons interested in availing themselves of what is provided in the preceding subsections b) and c), must file their application before the Board within a period of six (6) months counting from the date of approval of this amendment.

Section 2.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.

(No. 70) (Approved July 6, 1985) AN ACT To amend Section 14 of Act No. 96 of June 4, 1983, to authorize the Psychologists Examining Board to grant licenses without examinations to Psychologists with 30 or more graduate courses in Psychology. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO: Section 1.- Section 14 of Act No. 96 of June 4, 1983, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 14.- Granting of a License without Examination.-

(a) The Board will grant a license without examination to any applicant who is a bonafide resident of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, who holds a Doctors' or Masters' degree in Psychology from an accredited University, College or Study Center, as defined in subsection b) of Section 2 of this Act, and who is practicing as such on the date of its approval.

Interested parties must file their application before the Board within a term of six (6) months counting from the date that the Board is appointed by the Governor of Puerto Rico, and takes office.
