Ley 60 del 1983
Resumen
Esta ley enmienda el Artículo 2 de la Ley Núm. 11 de 26 de junio de 1980, extendiendo la fecha límite para la entrada en vigor de un reglamento. Dicho reglamento faculta al Administrador de Servicios Generales a establecer los procedimientos para manejar reclamaciones extrajudiciales por daños a la flota de vehículos del Gobierno, asegurando rapidez y transparencia en el proceso, con la aprobación del Secretario de Hacienda y el Secretario de Justicia.

L E Y
Para enmendar el Artículo 2 de la Ley Núm. 11 de 26 de junio de 1980, a los fines de extender la fecha límite para que entre en vigor el reglamento que exige la Ley.
Decrétase por la Asamblea Legislativa de Puerto Rico:
Sección 1.- Se enmienda el Artículo 2 de la Ley Núm. 11 de 26 de junio de 1980, para que lea como sigue: "Artículo 2.- Se faculta al Administrador de Servicios Generales a preparar un reglamento, el cual deberá ser aprobacio por el Secretario de Hacienda y el Secretario de Justicia. Dicho reglamento regulará las transacciones que pudiere efectuar el Administrador de Servicios Generales con relación a las reclamaciones extrajudiciales que haya a nombre del Gobierno por concepto de daños ocasionados a la flota de vehículos y a establecer el trámite a seguirse en ellas. Al adoptar estas normas deberá ser lo más claro y preciso para asegurarse que las mismas aseguren la rapidez y pureza que garantice los mejores intereses del Gobierno. En el trámite a seyıirse, las transacciones deberán ser examinadas por el Director de la División Legal y aprobadas por el Administrador. Este reglamento entrará en vigor no más tarde del 1ro. de agosto del 1983."
Sección 2.- Esta Ley empezará a regir inmediatamente después de su aprobación.

Melecio, Director of the Office of Legislative Services of the Legislature of Puerto Rico, hereby certifies to the Secretary of State that he has duly compared the English and Spanish texts of Act No. 60 (S. B. 790) of the 3rd Session of the 9th Legislature of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, entitled:
AN ACT to amend Section 2 of Act No. 11 of June 26, 1980, to extend the time limit for the effectiveness of the regulations required by Law, and finds the same are complete, true and correct versions of each other.
To amend Section 2 of Act No. 11 of June 26, 1980, to extend the time limit for the effectiveness of the regulations required by Law.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO: Section 1.- Section 2 of Act No. 11 of June 26, 1980, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 2.- The General Services Administrator is hereby empowered to draft regulations, which shall be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of Justice. Said regulations shall regulate the settlements that could be carried out by the General Services Administrator with regard to extrajudicial claims on behalf of the Commonwealth for damages caused to the fleet of vehicles, and to establish the procedures to be followed in doing so. Upon adopting these standards, he shall be as clear and precise as possible to insure that the same shall be done with speed and integrity, which will guarantee the best interests of the Government. In the procedures to be
followed, the settlements shall be examined by the Director of the Legal Division and approved by the Administrator. These regulations shall take effect no later than August 1, 1983."
Section 2.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.
