Resumen
Esta ley enmienda la Ley de Bebidas de Puerto Rico para exigir a los traficantes al por mayor de bebidas alcohólicas que presenten evidencia del pago de su patente municipal al Secretario de Hacienda como requisito para obtener su licencia anual.

LEY
Para enmendar el Artículo 73 de la Ley Núm. 143, aprobada el 30 de junio de 1969, según enmendada, Ley de Bebidas de Puerto Rico, a los fines de requerir a todo traficante al por mayor en bebidas alcohólicas que muestre al Secretario de Hacienda evidencia de haber obtenido la patente municipal requeridale por la Ley Núm. 113, aprobada el 10 de julio de 1974, según enmendada, Ley de Patentes Municipales.
Decrétase por la Asamblea Legislativa de Puerto Rico:
Sección 1.- Se enmienda el Artículo 73 de la Ley Núm. 143, aprobada el 30 de junio de 1969, según enmendada, para que se lea como sigue: "Artículo 73.-Traficantes al por mayor en espíritus destilados y bebidas alcohólicas.
Cada año todo traficante al por mayor en espíritus destilados, en alcohol industrial y en bebidas alcohólicas, deberá obtener del Secretario una licencia por cada negocio, sitio, almacén o establecimiento comercial y pagará por cada licencia, los derechos que se especifican en el Artículo 12 de esta Ley. El Secretario requerirá al traficante, como condición para la concesión de dicha licencia que muestre evidencia de haber satisfecho el pago de la patente municipal que impone la Sección 5 de la Ley Núm. 113, aprobada el 10 de julio de 1974, según enmendada, Ley de Patentes Municipales, o evidencia de que el pago de la misma ha sido prorrogado, o el certificado o patente provisional extendido por el Tesorero Municipal a la persona que comenzare cualquier industria o negocio."
Sección 2.- Esta ley comenzará a regir inmediatamente después de su aprobación.

Melecio, Director of the Office of Legislative Services of the Legislature of Puerto Rico, hereby certifies to the Secretary of State that he has duly compared the English and Spanish texts of Act No. 13 (S.B. 396) of the Second Session of the 9th Legislature of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, entitled: AN ACT to amend Section 73 of Act No. 143, approved June 30, 1969, as amended, the Alcoholic Beverages Act of Puerto Rico, to require every alcoholic beverage wholesale dealer to present evidence to the Secretary of the Treasury of having obtained the municipal license required by Act No. 113, approved on Jult 10, 1974, as amended, the Municipal License Tax Act, and finds the same are complete, true and correct versions of each other.

To amend Section 73 of Act No. 143, approved June 30, 1969 as amended, the Alcoholic Beverages Act of Puerto Rico, to require every alcoholic beverage wholesale dealer to present evidence to the Secretary of the Treasury of having obtained the municipal license required by Act No. 113, approved on July 10, 1974, as amended, the Municipal License Tax Act.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF PUERTO RICO:
Section 1.- To amend Section 73 of Act No. 143, approved June 30, 1969, to read as follows: "Section 73.- Wholesale Dealers in Distilled Spirits and Alcoholic Beverages.
Each year every wholesale dealer in distilled spirits, in industrial alcohol, and in alcoholic beverages shall obtain from the Secretary, a license for each business, location, warehouse or commercial establishment, and shall pay for each license, the fees specified in Section 12 of this Act. The Secretary shall require the dealer, as a condition to grant said license, to show evidence of having made the payment of the Municipal License Tax imposed by Section 5
of Act No. 113, approved on July 10, 1974, as amended, the Municipal License Tax Act, or evidence that said payment has been extended, or the provisional certificate or license has been issued by the Municipal Treasurer to the person initiating any industry or business."
Section 2.- This Act shall take effect immediately after its approval.
